Tree Plantation 2021

NSS unit of Mahatma Night Degree College conducted sapling plantation drive on 20th July, 2021 in Takkar Bappa Garden, Chembur. Planting the saplings in the Thakkar Bappa Garden was planned due to Covid 19 problem. Social distance was maintained while doing this activity. The NSS unit of our college decided to plant sampling in the vicinity of volunteer’s residence to prevent crowd and follow Covid guidelines. The purpose of this activity was to make sure that saplings must survive and become huge tree in the open environment. Around 10 volunteers including NSS leaders were present for this activity. Volunteers bought 10 saplings from nursery and planted in the identified area. We selected the spots where saplings should be planted. Volunteers started digging at selected spot. Even during the rains volunteers did not stop the work. We took 3 hours to plant all the saplings. Volunteers also gave support of the stick and made boundaries around the saplings. This activity was carried out by the volunteers by following Covid 19 guidelines issued by government.
