Prarambh – An Inter-Collegiate Cultural Festival 2025-26
Prarambh – An Intercollegiate Cultural Festival is a popular event and has completed 7 successful years of celebrating art and culture. This year, 2025-26 we organized 14 events. Events on Day 1, 20-2-26 were – Chess, Carrom, Treasure Hunt, Elocution On Day 2 21-2-26 events were – Solo singing, group singing, Solo dancing, group dancing, mimicry, elocution, mehendi, rangoli, Poster Making and Reel.
The event was open for all colleges across the nation. 133 students registered. The Registration fee was nominal Rs. 50 for solo events and Rs 200/- for group participation. Registration was free for students of the college.
The teachers of the college along with student volunteers conducted the events in different class rooms and facilities of the college. Chess, Carrom and Treasure Hunt events were organized in the ground floor multipurpose hall of the college. On Day 2, 21-2-26 the dance, singing and mimicry performances were conducted in the ground floor multipurpose hall. Class room 401was allocated for elocution and class room no. 501 was allocated for mehndi and poster making competitions. Rangoli event was organised in the ground floor multipurpose hall.
We were happy to have high profile judges to judge events of Prambah 2026. The judges were Ms.Brinda Ganesh, Mr. Sachin Jadhav and Mr. Dilip Singh for performing arts (singing, dancing, mimicry, elocution, reel making) Ms. Sajeeda Shaikh for fine arts (mehendi, poster making and rangoli Mr. Sachin Sarvagod, the dance choreographer of the college supported the event on all fronts.
The two day event was well marketed by the enthusiastic team of 18 student volunteers. They ensured that the Prarambh event brochure reached all the colleges on time and assisted in the smooth registration of students in all the events of Prarambh.
The event ended with a grand prize distribution ceremony where Principal Dr. Eknath Zhrekar, esteemed judges and teachers presented trophies, medals and certificates to the winners.

Prarambh – An Intercollegiate Cultural Festival is a popular event and has completed 6 successful years of celebrating art and culture. This year, 2024-25 we organized 20 events. Indoor games on Day 1, 6-2-25 – Chess, Carrom, Treasure Hunt. Day 2 we organized 17 events – Solo singing, group singing, Qawwali, Solo dancing, group dancing, mimicry, elocution, mehendi, rangoli, nail art, poster making, Beat Boxing, DJ-War, Instrumental Solo, Instrumental Group, Poster Making, Reels, Fashion Show.
The event was open for all colleges across the nation. 150 students registered. The Registration fee was nominal Rs. 50 for solo events and Rs 200/- for group participation. Registration was free for students of the college.

Class room no. 501 was allocated for mehndi, poster making and nail art.
We were happy to have high profile judges to judge events of Prarmabh 2025. Dr. Dadarao Mhaske, Varun Ganesh, Brinda Ganesh, Ganesh Shankar judged the performing arts. Ms. Pradnay Patil judged the mehndi, poster, nail art and rangoli events. DJ-War was judged by Mr. Rupesh Gorve.
Mr. Sachin Srvagod, the dance choreographer of the college supported the event on all fronts. The two day event was well marketed by the enthusiastic team of 22 student volunteers. In the academic year 2023–24, Mahatma Night Degree College organized a big cultural festival called “Prarambh ” for the 5th consecutive year. The festival took place on 12th and 13th January, 2024, from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. The organizing team was thrilled with this accomplishment. Over 150 entries from various colleges in the Mumbai region were received for different events, creating a lot of excitement among the students. The fest began with an inauguration ceremony on January 12th, featuring Dr. Geeta Menon Madam as the Chief Guest. Principal Dr. Eknath Zhrekar encouraged students to participate, and Dr. Harsh Shukla, the chairperson of the cultural committee, wished everyone luck. On January 12th, indoor games like chess and carom were a huge hit, continuing until 8 p.m. Winners were awarded medals and trophies. A dedicated team of volunteers managed the registration desk and organized events. The remaining events took place on January 13th. Participants in the Mehdi competition created beautiful designs, and those in the poster-making competition showcased their talent on the theme of global warming. Solo singing and dancing events were also energetic and captivating. The prize distribution ceremony concluded the event, making everyone involved, including participants, volunteers, and the organizing team, happy for the successful 5th year of Prarambh. Dr. Harsh Shukla expressed gratitude, and the Prarambh 2023–24 event achieved its goals.
