As part of the AIDS AWARENESS FORTNIGHT activities of 2022 the RRC Red Ribbon Club and NSS Unit of the college organized a Talk on Aids Awareness on Tuesday 13th December, 2021 from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. for the F.Y.B.Com., S.Y.B.Com. and T.Y.B.Com. students of the college in room number 404

Ms. Chitali Bhoir MDACS Mumbai District Aids Control Society – Master Trainer Counselor (Prevention of violence against women and children) KEM Hospital, was the resource person for the Talk. NSS P.O. Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lata Krishnan made the opening remarks spelling out the significance of understanding HIV Aids.

The resource person was welcomed and introduced by NSS Leader Ms. Tasmiya Shaikh with the help of real life examples Ms. Chaitali Bhoir in a lucid manner the facts of HIV/AIDS. How the disease spreads, facts and myths of HIV/AIDS Names and addresses of the Testing Centers and for ART treatment for HIV/AIDS were shared The statistics he shared shocked the participants and set them thinking.

Facts about the HIV virus and the manners in which it spreads. The facts about how HIV will not spread. The need of treating HIV affected people with dignity and compassion.

The question answer session was interesting and fact filled. Ms. Chaitali answered all the questions of the students pertaining to queries regarding transmission of the disease. Mental blocks and myths regarding HIV Aids were busted.

NSS volunteer of S.Y.B.Com. Ms. Jayshree Balotiya proposed the vote of thanks. NSS P.O. Dr. Tushar Pawar also thanked the resource person and the session ended.
