The NSS unit organized a Blood Donation Camp in the college campus with the support of J.J. Mahanagar Blood Bank, Mumbai on 9th December, 2023.
Ms. Neeta Dange Public Relations Officer, J.J. Mahanagar Blood Bank, Mumbai coordinated with us to organize the event.
Volunteers reported to the venue at 3.00 p.m. along with NSS Programme Officer Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lata Krishnan and Dr. Tushar Pawar. Teams were formed and the volunteers got busy with registration of donors, announcement desk, refreshment counter, guiding and ushering donors with the procedure of blood donation, promoting the blood donation camp by moving in and around the college campus.
H.D.F.C. Bank sponsored refreshments and gifts to blood donors.
47 people volunteered to donate blood, 12 were rejected as they were found unfit to donate blood. 35 blood units were collected at the blood donation camp.
The NSS Volunteers worked sincerely and enthusiastically. Tea and snacks were given to blood donors and the team of organizers.
J. J. Mahanager Blood Bank awarded a certificate of appreciation and trophy to the volunteers, Programme Officers and NSS Unit of the college, which was received by the NSS Leaders Iqra Mulla and Riyaz Khan along with the team of volunteers. It was a moment of joy and gratification of a NSS Blood Donation Camp successfully completed.
