National Level E-Conference on “The Role of National Education Policy in The Re-Accreditation Framework of Higher Education”

The National Education Policy 2020 has come up with various changes in the pattern of education. The NEP has been introduced with the ‘Student Centric Approach’. The policy says that all ‘higher education institutions’ (HEIs) shall aim to be multidisciplinary by 2040. A One Day National Level Conference was organised by the IQAC of the college to get the views of various stakeholders with respect to NAAC Re-Accreditation Framework.

The conference was started with the opening remark by IQAC coordinator and conference convener Dr. Anaya Markandeya followed by welcome address by Prncipal Dr. Eknath Zhrekar, conference chairperson.

Dr. S. S. Bisht, Professor Kumaun University Nainital, Uttarakhand was the chief guest for the inaugural session. He talked about the requirements of NEP 2020 with respect to NAAC Re-Accreditation. Dr. Bisht guided the audience with regards to the preparation of the NAAC accreditation and re-accreditation. Dr. Bisht also highlighted the significance of Student Satisfaction Survey in NAAC.

The session was followed by the paper presentations by the participants. Dr. Daneshwar Pandey, Assistant Professor, S. S. Agrawal College of Commerce & Management, Navsari Gujrat was the resource person for the technical session.

After the lunch break, the valedictory session was conducted by Dr. Tushar Pawar. Dr. Archana K. Prabhudesai, Assistant Professor, Nodal Officer & Coordinator for BVOC, Joshi Bedekar College (Autonomous), Thane was the chief guest for the session.

Dr. Prabhudesai threw the light on the various aspects of NEP 2020 in the context of NAAC re-accreditation framework.

The event concluded with the vote of thanks by Dr. Lata Krishnan.
