As part of the AIDS AWARENESS FORTNIGHT activities of 2021 the RRC Red Ribbon Club and NSS Unit of the college organized a inter-class quiz competition on the theme Aids Awareness on 14th December, 2021 from 7.30 p.m. to 9.00 p.m. for the S.Y.B.Com. and T.Y.B.Com. students of the college in room number 404.

The inter-class quiz competition was organized and conducted by the quiz competition committee composed of Tanvi Rane, Kanchan Ghag, Chetan and Lekraj Dholpuri. They prepared question and answer flash cards. The question and answers were displayed on the screen for all to see. Three teams F.Y.B.Com, S.Y.B.Com and T.Y.B.Com (2 students represented each class). 10 points were given for the correct answer, 5 for the first passover and 2 for the second passover. 30 seconds were given to answer the question. Timekeeper maintained the time with a buzzer. Score keeper kept the score on the scoreboard. The quiz masters’ decision was final. 40 questions were asked and the quiz master shared the answer giving information, making the quiz competition interesting. The competition was tough between F.Y.B.Com and S.Y.B.Com classes. Finally F.Y.B.Com emerged as the winner with 72 points.

Principal Dr. Eknath Zhrekar attended the competition and gave away the trophy to the winning team. Group pictures were taken with the winning team and all the participating teams.

Students enjoyed the quiz competition and it was a good method of learning to understand facts about HIV/AIDS.

The participants followed Covid-19 Social Distancing Protocol.
