Mr. Rahul Gupta is one of the alumni of the Mahatma Night Degree College of Arts and Commerce. Mr. Rahul Gupta passed his graduation in the year 2017-18 and presently working as a certified yoga teacher at Royal International School, Dombivali. He has organized many corporate programs on mental health, stress, emotional balance, Yoga for emotional well-being, etc. The Alumni association of Mahatma Night Degree College of Arts and Commerce invited Mr. Rahul Gupta to help and guide current First Year B.Com students that how daily yoga can help in dealing with exam-related stress and the mental well-being of students. The program started at 7.30 p.m. and Asst. Prof. Dr. Harsh Shukla introduced Mr. Rahul Gupta. Thereafter, Principal Dr. Eknath Zhrekar felicitated Mr. Rahul Gupta with a bouquet. Dr. Harsh Shukla requested principal Dr. Eknath Zhrekar to address the students. Dr. Eknath Zhrekar said that he was very proud that our alumni students are doing so well in their life. He was very happy that alumni students are contributing in various ways to the college development and he congratulated Mr. Rahul Gupta for his achievements. On the behalf of Alumni Association, Mr. Rahul Gupta Felicitated Principal Dr. Eknath Zhrekar with a flower bouquet.

Mr. Rahul Gupta Spoke about the importance of mental well-being in modern life. He said that the hectic work pressure, bad food habits, and deterioration of social relations adversely affected the mental well-being of the people. Regular practice of yoga can help in living a stress-free and healthy life. Yoga can make internal organs very healthy and improves the emotional well-being of the students. For students, focus is very important so he spoke about various yoga asanas and pranayama which can improve focus in the study. After this, Mr. Rahul Gupta along with his assistant demonstrated various yoga asanas and pranayama and simultaneously made students follow him in doing those activities. He meticulously explained the importance of each yoga mudra to the students.

Mr. Rahul Gupta’s session inspired the students as he was one of the alumni of the college and teaching life skills to the students. After the session, Dr. Harsh Shukla proposed a formal vote of thanks and wished Mr. Rahul Gupta for his future endeavors.
