Brief Report of Program | 32 NSS volunteers and one NSS Programme Officer Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lata Krishnan and one teacher Dr. Anaya Markandeya were flagged off from the college campus at 8.30 a.m. They were accompanied by the Chembur Police who travelled with them throughout the route of the walkathon. The NSS volunteers had prepared placards on Road Safety. Slogans were created. Helmet Pehno, Jaan Bachao! Safe Roads, Save Lives! Etc. The NSS Volunteers along with the teachers walked from the college campus to Shivaji Putala, R. K. Studio road and back to the college. They halted in three stops near the Diamond Garden Signal, the Shivaji Putala and at the Chembur Naka signal and shouted out slogans. The walkathon was brisk and the sloganeering energetic. The message of safe roads and safe driving was effectively communicated. This event was a part of the Government of Maharashtra CASI MAHA MUN event which was scheduled on 6th and 7th December, 2019. |
