On Saturday 16th December, 2023 the Department of Commerce organized a workshop where they invited Associate Professor Dr. Harmeet Kaur Bhasin from St. Andrew’s College of Arts, Commerce and Science, Bandra to conduct a workshop on the theme “Discover your Creative Side: Creativity in Advertising” for the first half of the workshop and the theme “An Experimental Research on Consumer Behaviour Towards Different Brands” for the second half of the workshop.

The students assembled in classroom no. 404. Convenor of the Workshop Dr. Lata Krishnan made the opening remarks. She expressed the importance of learning difficult concepts in Advertising and Marketing using the workshop (learning by doing) method and motivated the students to participate and gain from the workshop.

In his welcome address Principal Dr. Eknath Zhrekar welcomed the resource person Dr. Harmeet Kaur Bhasin and the participants. He congratulated the Department of Commerce for organizing the workshop and providing a platform for the students to learn in a fun-way, important concepts in Advertising and Marketing.

Dr. Harmeet Kaur started the session by introducing the themes. She had a powerpoint presentation which she used to explain concepts. Dr. Harmeet Kaur Bhasin combined this technique with the learning-by-doing method. She had set up games, and experiments for the students using Coca Cola, Pepsi, Potato chips, paper glasses, sheets of A4 size paper and other props for her experiments.

The session was exciting and interactive. 168 students participated with a lot of enthusiasm.

Dr. Lata Krishnan proposed the vote of thanks and the workshop concluded at 9.00 p.m.
