Mr. Rajesh Pillai coordinated the activities at the campus. The students were assisted by Mr. Radhakrishnan and guided with the location and implements to plant 12 saplings in the college campus. They were provided with gardening equipment (koita and fawda). The soil was red, soft and wet and digging the pits for tree plantation was easy. The NSS volunteers planted all the saplings consisting of mango trees, chikku trees, jamun trees and floral bushes with a lot of enthusiasm. After planting the saplings, they were watered by the volunteers. They took group pictures with the NSS Banner. The trees will be nurtured and taken care of by Mr. Radhakrishnan and the gardeners of Pillai Campus, New Panvel.

Rotary club, Rotary District 3141 donated 12 saplings. NSS leaders collected the saplings from Airoli and planted them in our Panvel Campus.

After the tree plantation activity the volunteers assembled to thank the host, Mr. Rajesh Pillai and Mr. Radhakrishnan and their team, for their contribution and support to the NSS Tree Plantation Project. The students had refreshments before they returned at 1.00 pm. The NSS Tree Plantation project was a success.
