The certificate distribution ceremony for the students who completed the Civil Defence course 2023-24 started at 5.00 p.m. in Class Room No. 501. Coordinator of the programme Dr. Lata Krishnan started the programme and gave her opening remarks. She congratulated the students for successfully completing the Civil Defence training and explained how they had become a invaluable team enabled to help people in the face of disaster.
Principal Dr. Eknath Zhrekar in his welcome address expressed joy in welcoming the chief guest Shri. Madhu Kadam and students who had completed the Civil Defence Training programme. He encouraged the students to participate in programmes organized for the civil defence trained personnel. He also urged them to participate in incidence of disaster management and always be ready to help, when called to do so.
The chief guest Shri Madhu Kadam, Ex Divisional Warden Chembur Division was introduced by NSS Leader Iqra Mulla. He was welcomed with a bouquet of flowers.
In his address Shri Madhu Kadam explained the importance of civil defence training and how invaluable the trained students were to society. Kadam Sir congratulated all the students and wished them luck.
The Maharashtra Government Certificates for Civil Defence were distributed by Chief Guest Shri. Madhu Kadam, Principal Dr. Eknath Zhrekar and NSS Programme Officer Dr. Lata Krishnan. 36 students received certificates.
A group photograph was taken and the ceremony ended with the singing of the national anthem.
