The webinar started with opening remarks from Placement Incharge of the college Assoc. Prof. Dr. Lata Krishnan. She spoke about the importance of building a career. She referred to difficult times and the urgent need and importance to focus on employability skills and career development.
Incharge Principal of the college Dr. Eknath Zhrekar formally welcomed the gathering. He was happy to see the gathering of all the degree college and juniour college students and wished them luck for a successful webinar ahead.
Dr. Lata Krishnan invited resource person Mr. Chetan Somkumar Placement Officer of AIF American India Foundation to begin the proceedings.
The session was interesting as Mr. Chetan began with discussing the need to know and understand ones likes, preferences, abilities and aptitudes to enable oneself to select the correct career. He gave them the facts about the psychometric test and why and how it would help them in making appropriate career choices.
Mr. Chetan touched upon emerging career opportunities and answered several questions from students who were interested in joining the police force, hotel industry, travel and tourism etc. The power point presentation was effective and the session was interactive.
Resource Person, Mr. Jitendra Soni a free lancer in Digital Marketing with a career of 18 years, addressed the students and spoke about various facets of Digital Marketing. The session was technical and the students listened in rapt attention. Mr. Jitendara Soni answered several questions and the students were excited to study about the career options in Digital Marketing. It was interesting and heartening to note that several students were well aware about prospects in the career and asked technical questions for more clarity.
The webinar concluded with a vote of thanks by Dr. Lata Krishnan and the National Anthem
