| Brief Report of Program | As part of the Aids Awareness Fortnight activities the RRC Red Ribbon Club of the college organized an Aids Awareness Seminar on 5th December, 2019. Senior Resource Person of MDACS Mumbai District Aids Control Society Ms. Savita Kurde conducted the seminar. She spoke in Hindi and Marathi to connect with the students. She had a power point presentation with interesting facts and data that gave students a clear understanding about HIV AIDS. Her bold direct approach motivated the students to ask her several questions and help clear doubts and bust myths about the dreaded disease. She explained that HIV was not curable, however with medication it can be kept under control. Information about how HIV is contracted and how HIV patients are to be cared for and accepted in society was also explained. |
