Co-curricular Activities 2020-21

In order to Celebrate World Environment Day and keep students updated during this lock down period Department of Environmental Studies of Mahatma Night Degree College of Arts and Commerce, Chembur had organized a National Level Quiz competition and poster competition on the them time for Nature.

On 12th June, 2020 the publicity of quiz and poster completion was done on various whatsapp group and official mail were sent to teaching fraternity to circulated the flyer of competition. The links for both the competitions were generated in Google form. Questions were asked in quiz competition based on environmental issues and biodiversity. Around 618 and student participants were participated in quiz competition from all over India. E-certificates were sent to participants to their registered email id who secured 40% marks in quiz competition. The number of participants itself state that event was successful.
For poster competition whatsapp group link was generated and participants joined the group. All the instructions regarding poster making competition was given in the group. Three days were given for poster competition. The poster competition was conducted on the following topics.

1. Save Biodiversity
2. Save water resources

Around 54 participants registered for poster making competition from all over India. From Junior college level to PhD students were participated in the poster completion. Beautiful posters were prepared by students from regions of India based on topic allotted to them. Students were given whole one day to share their poster for display. Feedback was taken from students on poster completion and E-certificate was sent to their registered email id. About 65% student participants given excellent feedback about theme and topic of poster making competition. A Department of Environmental studies is thankful to all participants for making this event grand success.
