NSS unit of Mahatma Night Degree College of Arts and Commerce, Chembur in association with Chembur Police station and Stree Mukti Sanghatana conducted Nirbhaya Awareness Rally from Natraj Cinema Chembur Station to Ghatla Gaon, Chembur. This rally was conducted to give tribute Nirbhaya and to make aware people specially women and girls about special police squad is appointed to handle problems like Nirbhaya at Chembur Police Station.
Around 45 NSS volunteers were participated in this rally with 30 police constable, volunteers from Stree Mukti Sanghatana and 40 students of Saraswati Vidyamandir, Chembur.
Rally was escorted by PSI Manisha Shirke madam and Nirbhaya officer PSI Kadam Madam. They were actively participated along with their squad in the rally and reading the slogans on Nirbhaya loudly with volunteers and students.
Nirbhaya rally was concluded at Ghatla Village near Sai Baba Mandir. Refreshment and Bisleri water bottle were given to all the volunteers and students by the Chembur Police Station.
After the refreshment PSI Shirke madam and PSI Kadam madam talked about purpose of this rally and how police station will support in such problem. At end of rally NSS volunteer of our college Mr. Lekharaj Dholpuria proposed formal vote of thanks to all the participants and police authority for such nice arrangement of rally.
